Fosters community well-being, opportunities and equitable access for all ages, with programs and services catering to the needs of the senior community.

Abbotsford Community Services provides programs for seniors living in Abbotsford, such as:

Better at Home: Partnership with United Way, helps seniors continue to live independently by providing non-medical support services (housecleaning, transportation).
Income Tax & Benefit Applications: Helps local individuals 55+ with modest incomes complete income tax forms & government benefit applications
Lunch with the Bunch: Food, fun and seniors - every Friday! Transportation can be provided if necessary
Meals on Wheels: Healthy meal options for individuals unable to shop or prepare meals for themselves
Medical Transportation: Volunteers drive individuals to medical appointments outside of the Abbotsford area (fees charged for mileage & parking).
Seniors Information, Referral and Resource Services: Connecting & referring older adults to community supports, programs, services, and resources
Community Van Service: The Community Van Service helps individuals and families without transportation attend appointments, commitments, services, and community activities, within the city of Abbotsford.
Social Prescribing Program: Connecting older adults to a range of community-based services combined with follow-up support.
South Asian Day Program for Older Adults: The South Asian Day Program is for older adults who are: living at home; experiencing life changes; wanting to be as healthy and as independent as possible.
