A weekly group to discuss topics on substance misuse and mental health.
The Roots of Life group meets in-person on Fridays at 2:30 PM.- 4:00 PM
The Roots of Life group provides and promotes the following:
- An environment where everyone is welcome, including friends, family and support people.
- A safe, accepting place to learn about mental health, substance use and their connection.
- No expectation of sharing personal mental health concerns or substance use history.
- Exploration of misunderstandings and myths about addictions and mental health.
- Support and education for individuals interested in reducing the harms of substance use.
- A non-judgmental environment to discuss and heal the impact of stigma, guilt, and shame associated with addictive disorders.
- Information on how to connect with the Mental Health and Substance Use system.
