The Red Cross partners with five B.C. health authorities to provide short-term loans of advanced equipment such as hospital beds and patient lifts to eligible clients.

Advanced Short Term Program – formerly HELP Plus provides a range of advanced equipment (such as hospital beds, specialty mattresses and patient lifts) to British Columbians in participating regions.

This service includes delivery and installation for most advanced equipment items. This service is only available through the Medical Equipment Provision Program. Please contact your local Health Authority Home Health / Home and Community Care office for more information.

A referral from a Healthcare Professional as identified by the Health Authority or Health Organization is required.
