- Youth Outreach in Schools: Youth Outreach Workers hold regular school office hours, host weekly lunch-and-learn groups, and participate in a variety of school events and activities. Anyone can refer a youth to see a Youth Outreach Worker, including parents, teachers, health and social service agencies, and the youth themselves. Students can meet a Youth Outreach Worker at the school, or in the community.
- After School Programs and Youth Out-trips: Offers child-centred programs for 10 to 12-year-olds (Grade 6 and 7) and provides a safe, structured, caring environment, with Youth Outreach Workers providing personalized attention and support. Participants in these programs have the opportunity to explore activities that are innovative, educational and fun. This programming provides exposure to new ideas, concepts, people and places that encompass a broad range of activities such as art, music, science, computing, and more. These programs are offered after school, on Pro-D days and during winter, spring and summer school breaks.
- One-to-One Support: Offers one-to-one support by listening and advocating for youth in need. They are able to assist with issues including trouble at school, anger management, self-esteem, family and peer relationship difficulties. Youth Outreach Workers can also assist young people and parents to access programs and services at other community agencies. Appointments can be made directly with our Youth Outreach Workers at various locations in North Vancouver.
- Information and Resources: Youth Outreach Workers have a wealth of information and resources pertaining to youth that includes scholarships, and volunteer opportunities for Youth needing volunteer hours for graduation requirements.
- Programming for Youth Ages 18 to 24: Offers one to one support, and job search support.
