Income Based Counselling

Provided by The Woods Arts & Wellness

Offers low cost counselling and group therapy to individuals in low-mid income brackets.
Offers an income-based sliding scale to those who do not have access to extended health care coverage or other funding sources, and whose annual household income does not exceed $100,000. Proof of household income required.

The centre also offers various group programs, with costs ranging from free to $15 a session. Programming includes:
  • Expressive art programs for trauma recovery, and Parkinsons
  • Visual arts, including an art therapy program for older adults
  • Yoga
  • Music therapy for relaxation
  • Anxiety walking group


Rates for individual counselling start at $30 for a student intern, $60 for an RCC, and $40 for music therapy. A full table of costs is available here.

Home visits for 1:1 music therapy (North Shore only) will incur an additional travel fee of $10 when outside 5km from the Delbrook location.


Services offered to all ages. Those accessing this program will be given up to 12 sessions. Clients can apply for one renewal of subsidized sessions. Those 24 years and below will not require proof of household income, and can apply for two renewals of subsidized sessions.
