IHOT provides low-barrier interim health care, psychosocial support, and help accessing longer-term health services to people in the Vancouver inner city who are unhoused or newly housed.
IHOT is a short-term service that supports people aged 17 and up who live outdoors, in shelters, or are newly housed in supportive housing, including in the Supported Rent Subsidy Program.  IHOT provides:
  • Care for an immediate health concern
  • Access to temporary health care, psychological and social supports (eg. Housing referrals, ID replacement)
  • Referral to the most clinically appropriate health service(s)
  • Referrals and support to access longer-term health services
  • Harm reduction education and supplies

IHOT is an outreach team. There are two ways to connect with them:
  • 1. Walk into the Episodic Care Clinic at the Molson Overdose Prevention Site
  • 2. Call IHOT to refer yourself or someone else. They accept self-referrals or referrals from community service providers, such as shelters and other outreach teams working in Vancouver.
