Intensive Tertiary Rehabilitation

Provides intensive psychosocial rehabilitation to individuals requiring assistance in managing their mental health illness and reaching their goals.
Supports adults requiring intensive psychosocial rehabilitation (includes emotional, spiritual, psychological, environmental, financial, social and other aspect of the person’s life) in a safe, closed environment. Staff work closely with the individual and support/assist them with managing their illness and their lives. The person is encouraged and supported to work on their goals for moving forward in their lives. This may include developing or regaining life skills, vocational and social connections, and promoting the person’s ability to fully participate in their own lives, and in their community.

Access to these services are generally through a hospital setting or a health care professional. In some cases a family doctor may be able to refer an individual to some tertiary programs.
