Volunteer Form and Tax Clinic

Volunteers are available throughout Burnaby to assist residents in the completion of tax/general forms - call for an appointment.
Income Tax Clinic offers assistance with income tax preparation through participation in the Canada Revenue's CVITP program. During the tax season, March and April, the program offers appointments for individuals with low income to have their income taxes completed by volunteer tax preparers. A Pre-Screening Booking Form must be completed to determine eligibility to access this program, and staff will connect within 7-10 business days to book your appointment.

Eligibility to Access
  • Single individual with an income of $40,000 or less per year
  • Single Parent with an income of $45,000 or less per year
  • A couple with an income of $55,000 or less per year
  • For each dependent/child add $3000 per child
  • Must be a Member of Burnaby Neighbourhood House (BNH) or Burnaby Community Services (BCS) AND a Burnaby resident

Form Completion is available by appointment only throughout the year, and can assist with the following:
  • Federal Government Programs: Determining eligibility and providing assistance for pension applications (CPP, OAS, GIS)
  • Provincial Government Programs: Determining eligibility and providing assistance with applications for programs such as bus passes, SAFER, BC Housing, MSP and Fair PharmaCare
  • The Clinic also assists with filling out government card replacement applications
